WORLD CUP FEVER (LOGO DESIGN) 2
Last week we talked about the controversey surrounding the “embarrasing” world cup logo. So for this weeks follow up we have what 11 german design firms decided to do about it. One example:

From the press release:
11 designers had their showcase in Berlin
More than 400 visitors squeezed into the great lecture theatre of the University of Art in Berlin to persecute the presentation of eleven new logos for the football world championship in 2006. Among the spectators have been well-known design colleagues, students, cultural creators, athletes, numerous journalists of the daily press and two fans of Kickers Offenbach. The atmosphere has been highly curious and enthusiastic for the whole 90 minutes. The subsequent echo in the media can be called unique without exaggerating. Never before German graphic design cached such an attention within the national-wide daily press like after this presentation. ZDF and DSF have emitted substantial contribution as well. Each presented alternative logo outshines the official one.
Check out the sight and alternatives presented at 11designer.de and tell us which one you would choose, or if you like the one FIFA decided upon.
