SEO: More Links - By Liz Jackson
Great news this week: For the first time ever, Business Logos has made it onto page two of Google for the keyword logos! We are all excited about it, and I am anxious to do whatever I can to eventually get it onto page one!
So far this week, I am pretty much going to town adding our
Over the last few days, I also spent some time working on our reciprocal links. Reciprocal links are a great way to improve your site, but it’s important to monitor them every so often. A reciprocal link can be established either by contacting a site that you want to link to, or by agreeing to link to a site that has contacted you. Giving out free one-way links to other sites won’t help your site improve it’s ranking. After contacting another site, it is likely that you will have to wait at least a month for most sites to reply and add your URL to their site. Before they will add your link, they will make sure you have already added their link to your site. If the other site doesn’t add your link after a month or so, you should delete their link off your site. So this week, I went through the list of sites with no reciprocal location yet listed. Some sites were worth emailing and making another attempt to exchange links, but some were not. I’ll go through them again in the next few weeks and update the list again. Over the next few days, I will also be adding new reciprocal links to our resources page. I’ll look for sites that are relevant to ours, have good content and include the keywords logos, logo design, graphic design and business logos.
