Tap into color
Color is often the first thing to catch your eye and the last thing you remember. First impressions are hard to overcome, so make your first impression a good one by using the right color in your logo.
Try not to fall into the trap of making your logo your favorite color. The logos’ color should reflect the company and its values because it will stick with the company to the end. Take Coke for example, it is associated with a red and white logo and if it were to change to a green and orange logo, consumers would be confused and Coke would lose business.
Also, keep color simple. As a general rule don’t use more than three colors in your logo. Using too many colors in a logo will confuse the eye, leaving a bad impression. This can be tricky as color has the ability to create a mood and evoke emotions about ones products or services.
Finally, remember that everyone sees colors differently, but everyone notices them. What color is your logo?
